Department of Electrical Engineering

 The Electrical Engineering Department of Chung-Cheng Institute of Technology was established in 1968 by merging the former Electrical Engineering Department of Army Engineering Institute, Electrical Engineering Department and Electronic Engineering Department of Naval Engineering Institute. The Graduate Institute of Electrical Engineering was set up in 1969 and started to enroll master students at that time. The Ancillary Junior College of Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering was formed in 1971 for the professional training of base-level officers. The doctoral program was initiated in 1980 for advanced cultivation of high-level officers with electronic technology and weapon-system developing capability. In 1981, the Ancillary Junior College of Electronics was divided into Electronics and Computation groups. In 1985, the Graduate Institute of Electrical Engineering altered its name as the Graduate Institute of Electronic Engineering.
